The O in the text is colored in blue with a red banner behind it. This pin was inspired by the Cinderella prop storybook shown during the brief live-action prologue sequence before the animated film. The Story Book Pin: Immerse yourself in the world of dreams with this large, hinged pin, released during the summer of 2012 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library by D23. Like a cherished storybook, it opens to reveal the secrets hidden within. The cover of the pin showcases a gleaming copper finish adorned with delicate light blue highlights. Hovering at the top, two charming bluebirds gracefully hold a banner that reads "CINDERELLA." At the bottom of the book's cover, you'll find two beloved mice, Jaq and Gus, on either side, with a key nestled between them. In the center rests a plump cushion, upon which lies Cinderella's glass slipper, the symbol of her enchanting transformation. The latch on the right side of the book is adorned with two darkly colored jewels, one in regal purple and the other in a rich teal. As you open the larger book, a cushion and Cinderella's glass slipper are revealed in raised relief, evoking the magic of her fairytale transformation. On the left page is a captivating image of the Prince's majestic castle, with text at the bottom that begins "Once upon a time in a faraway land, there was a..." There is a similar book for Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, as these were the only three movies that used the storybook prop. The pin is on a black flocked card which reads D23, Disney.com/D23 on the top left Mickey ear and "The Official Disney Fan Club" on the bottom. The original price of this pin was $16.95 but as the exhibit closed at The Reagan Library, the pins were marked down to 50% off. |
