I have an early "lanyard pin series" dated 2002. Anyone have any details? With any luck a pic will be attached.

ok, got it now. According to the Tomart Disneyana book 6th edition, this is from a set of "Cast Lanyard Exclusives" from 2002 (the name "Hidden Mickey" didn't show up until sometime in 2003). there were five pins in the series, all very similar to each other. There doesn't seem to be any sort of official Disney document covering the proto-Hidden Mickeys of 2002. the document for 2003 even says it's for Series II at the top, there just is no document for Series I that i can find.

there were 5 pins in the set:
Esmeralda & Phoebus
Pocahontas & John Smith
Hercules & Meg
Aladdin & Jasmine
Belle & the Beast
the pins were all generally similar in color and style.
