Question About Fake Pins - h3rmyg - 12-28-2017

Howdy! I have a quick question about fake pins. I am very new to trading, so I don't know much about this. I did some research and found many sources that said that if a pin doesn't have the mickey head pattern on the back, then it's fake. I have several pins like this. Some came from eBay, but one was given to me several years ago (before I started collecting) by a friend. I'm almost certain she bought it in the parks. In addition to not having the mickey heads, it doesn't have the two spikes next to the post. Here are some pictures of it.

Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

The first few years of the cast member trading there were no Mickey heads on the back. They began showing up in 2010 on some pins and then on all starting in 2011. Also, beginning in 2013 the pins say MADE IN CHINA instead of just DISNEY CHINA. There are font differences, on the back as well and crooked placement. On pins with no Mickey’s on the back a good way to tell a fake is the areas where there is print is rough like the back of the pin. It should be smooth. In 2009 they started putting the triangles around the “Authentic Original” badge. But really, if it is real it is VERY legible even on small pins where the print is small, that is a BIG clue. If you have good eyes and can’t read it, it’s probably fake.
