This is a pin database.
Why?
The current monopoly in pin database has led to a perceived decline in the user experience.
Why is this connected to a forum? That's dumb. I already use a different forum.
The forum existed before the database. We wanted to only need one login for both, because remembering 2 passwords is hard. You never have to use the forum if you don't want to but your login will work on both. We are particularly proud of the chat capabilities here because they don't require java, work on any device (pretty much), and use old school AOL sounds.
How is this pin db better than existing ones?
- Searching and organization is better
- Image quality is slightly higher and not watermarked
- Multiple Images available for each pin; voting system used to determine best one
- Pins per page is higher, and paging transition is smoother
- Periodic giveaway contests from the prize pool
